Tasting Notes:
All Upper Five wines are fermented on native yeast to reflect the site as much as possible. The Sauvignon Blanc is picked when the flavor the the grape reflects the flavors of the resulting wine: crisp, but with a fruit profile reflecting the warmth of the site (stone fruits). It is the first harvest of each vintage, sometimes as early as August when the sugars are still low, resulting in a low alcohol wine that is balanced and pairs well with spring and summertime garden offerings.
Fermented in jacketed stainless for a vibrant, lively style. Grapefruit, lemon verbena and ripe nectarine. Think summer salads and fresh shellfish.
